I prefer to see the apps pulled. Some apps are best not available. Maybe we could add others, like the locations of the various whorehouses, and best corners for buying drugs.
It certainly doesn't hurt to add to Apple's No Porn standards.

Creative declares 'war' on Apple's iPod (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/11/18/creative_vs_apple/)
I guess Creative just broke even. :)
In other news, Creative has been granted permission to use the "Made For iPod" logo on their upcoming line of iPod accessories.
You know that article came out in 2004 right? Just making sure

Its also not great for many many many other people. You still base your ideas and arguments on the flawed notion that people have unlimited data and could still get it. I will also state again, I personally believe this will be some kind of add-on locker and not replacing local storage. I believe replacing local storage at this point would be a major mistake on Apple's part because it would negatively affect so many people...granted, not all.
i'm not ignoring any facts. u are being too technical. i have unlimited data but i use less than 2gb. my point is if u are places and it has free wifi, CONNECT to it...which is what i do at work and at home. streaming does not use a lot of data like you think.
look at the MBA. obviously it's not a computer for you. Doesn't mean it's not a great option for someone else. Storage is minimal and doesn't have a cd drive at all. This is all my wife and i use for a computer. It works great for us.
do you see now where the future is going with minimal hard drive space and no cd drive???

I wonder if these people are buying one to "test it out" or are buying multiple movies.
Well, I bought one "to test it out" (as I've done with each iT[nee M]S intro.)
But I also bought a couple TV shows that I had wanted before, but didn't want at 320x240. The 640x480 version of the Babylon 5 Pilot looks just as good as my DVD copy. (And it's nice, because it's the as-originally-aired version, not the TNT give-plot-away-early edit.) The CG looks a little worse, but that's because it was worse. (They re-did some of the CG for the TNT version.)

Does this option in the iTunes7 intaller hint at the imminent release of the iPhone?
http://idisk.mac.com/rnks/Public/iPhone-option.jpg
No, it doesn't. This is for phones like the ROKR and some other recent Motorolas that run a version of iTunes.
BTW this probably explains the nano firmware "revelation" too, we're probably looking at several applications (iPod, nano, ROKR, and other firmware) built from the same code base.

there is no way apple would make a product release on a pre recorded program with an audiance. Thanks to the internet the release would no longer be a surprise!
Sure there is. They released the 4g iPod in Newsweek. Think of the 100's-1000's of people who handled the Newsweeks who weren't covered by an NDA (and that announcement leaked, too, including the cover of the magazine...one day early; sounds familiar, eh?). Apple did say to expect more announcements in unconventional ways, and less at keynotes.

Aplenty needs to clean up their act here.
Rogue isn't a small homegrown company, they deserve to be respected. With policies like this, the App Store might just eventually die.
I hope it dies. It's an abomination among software development.

So Apple's method could be more efficient their side, offering a spotify type model where everyone accesses the same iTunes purchased track (except this time they own it) instead of Amazon's where each indivdual track is stored in their "digital locker"?
A nice bt of foresight by Apple if so.
It's not really an original idea. Lala was doing this last year, until Apple bought them and shut them down.

I've always wondered what Windows's market share comes from pirated copies of Windows. There's a lot of pirated copies out there.. a lot..
And they still managed to sell 350 million licenses of Windows 7 in 18 months. That's insane! I am telling you... I would like to sit in that room in either Redmond or Cupertino where you see the profit tote board being updated every second, or every minute or whatever. It must just make someone dizzy. It's like 45,000$ a minute. Of profit! Ridicurous. :)

Over (40) rounds were EXCHANGED between the robbers and the security guard. Deadly force by self-defense is authorized. I don't care what the situation, I'd rather face a jury of (12) than (12) pall bearers...I'm just sayin'

5% isn't a whole lot, considering Apple's profit margin is huge for iPods.
But considering how many iPods Apple sells, it would amount to a significant amount of money for the charity.

I stopped at the Apple store this morning and tried out the 24 inch iMac and the Mac Pro. These are sweet machines. No did not buy anything.
Is the 24" as quiet as the MacPro? Have you been able to compare to the 20"?

The logo on the center of the record, not the album artwork. The Beatle's logo looks like an apple to me, Apple's logo looks like an apple to me. We both know if the sides were reversed, Apple would have filed a suit.
Apple Corps (owned by the The Beatles) did sue Apple.
So there you have it.

YES!!! We just had an Apple event and we're having another one?! I love looking forward to these. Obviously Aperture 2.0 is going to be showed off, but what else? I'm hoping for new Cinema Displays, but that's kind of doubtful. Probably updated MacBook Pros will be announced. :)

O2 has nothing to do with Orange. They're completely seperate companies with different parent companies. I believe Orange are owned by France telecom, where as O2 are owned by Telefonica.

I could care less about movies, especially as slow as TV shows download on busy nights.
I would like to see new pods, though, which I think would be a pretty solid bet. Been almost a year.

It says , on iTunes that you have to update your 5G iPod.
The updater isn't there yet.

a ipod nano with phone function really isnt anythign amazing and would be well behind current technology, they should be fully going for that crazy multi device that was patented lately. at least that would be up with or infront of other technology.
2 iPhones,
- iphone (nano) base phone and cheaper, limited abilties
- iPhone (multifunction device) more expensive and more pda like.

There is no way Apple would deliberately block/not support USB3 on Mac's is there, to force Apple uses to have to buy Thunderbolt only peripherals and not be able to use cheaper USB3 items?
They would never do that would they?

What I don't get is....
Nokia = looser in smart phone market.
Microsoft = looser in smart phone OS market.
So... Looser + Looser = Winner?
I know Nokia has a huge installed base of feature phones, but they're going to have to really step it up to catch up in the smart phone market. Even the old #1 guys (RIM) can't keep up with iOS and Android.
